Presentation, Thankful song, and Chick-fil-a

In one of last weeks posts, I shared photos of the students working together as a team to make and create a poster representing one step in the life cycle of a pumpkin.  I also shared with you that the students in our classroom wanted to teach other students in our school.  We asked Mrs. Gore's class to come into our classroom to hear us speak about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
Last week we practiced and we continued to do so this week.
Friday, we stood in hallway in line waiting for the presentation to begin.

Mrs. Gore's students entered the classroom and awaited the presentation.

Each student spoke in the microphone about their specific stage of the pumpkin life cycle.

Seed

Sprout

Vine and Leaves

Golden Yellow Flowers

Green Pumpkins

Orange Pumpkins

The students in Mrs. Gore's class were thrilled to hear about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
We look forward to Mrs. Gore's class teaching us about Pilgrims and Native Americans next week.

Mrs. Gores class also joined us to learn a new song about being thankful.

The words of the song are:

"Thank you for the friends we meet, thank you for the food we eat."
"Thank you for our work and play, than you for this happy day!"

We even learned the song in sign language!

On another note...
We were  Chick-Fil-A's classroom of the week!  The Chick-Fil-A cow visited our classroom this week.  Here are a few pictures of our experience.

I hope to see everyone Monday evening in the middle school cafeteria for our Friendship Feast.  Please bring your dish to the feast just a couple minutes before 6:00pm.  We look forward to celebrating friendships and family.  I hope you all had a delightful weekend.  See you tomorrow!
